Presidential aide believes a new government should be formed

9th January 2006 - Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of Kazakhstan, will need new people to accomplish his plans, said Yermukhamet Yertysbayev, presidential aide on politics, in an interview to a national newspaper.

"The president has outlined a new task, raised the objectives. And to conquer new heights new people will be needed with new vision, with the Western style of management. There are expectations of changes in the masses and the president has always sensed such sentiments very well," - he has stressed.

At the same time the presidential aide has reminded that right after the election the president said that he was satisfied with his team - both the administration and the government. "After such a triumphant victory it would be illogical to cardinally change the team," - he has said noting that at the same time "this victory gives the president a powerful carte blanche for big scale changes, those in the cadre policy included."

As per the Constitution of RK, a new government will be formed after the inauguration of the president. The inauguration is due on 11 January.
