Yertysbayev appointed Minister of Information

Astana, 19th January 2006 - Today Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Daniyal Akhmetov introduced new Minister Yermukhamet Yertysbayev to the staff of Kazakhstan Culture, Information and Sport Ministry.

D. Akhmetov noted that it was necessary to highlight reforms and activity of the Head of the State properly. The society should understand clearly the goals and tasks, as well as the logic of action of the authorities. Yermukhamet Yertysbayev was the logical candidate to tbe the new Minister of Culture, Information and Sport.

Yermukhamet Yertysbayev was born in Karaganda in 1956. He is a professor, candidate of Historical Sciences and Doctor of Political Sciences.

Since March 2002 Yertysbayev has held the post as one of the President’s closest advisors.
