Kazakh PM arrives in Dushanbe for CIS summit

ASTANA, 25th May 2006 - Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of RK, has arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the summit of CIS Prime Ministers.

The summit of CIS Prime Ministers is going to take place today, May 25, in the capital of Tajikistan. The agenda includes 25 issues.

17 documents will be inked during the summit. The Prime Ministers will sign three concepts, including documents on granting the status of a basic CIS organisation for librarian co-operation to the Federal State Venture "Russian State Library" and the status of a basic CIS organisation for preparation of specialists in metrology for the armies of CIS member states to the Air Force Engineering Academy named after Professor N. Zhukovsky. The CIS Prime Ministers will review terms for the next meeting of the Council of Heads of Government, issues concerning deputies for the Executive Secretary and the chairmanship in the Council of Heads of Government.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan will be presented at the meeting by Prime Ministers. Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan - by Vice Premiers, Turkmenistan - by the Ambassador.

All meeting participants, whose total number will be 200 persons, will arrive today. Emomali Rakhmonov, President of Tajikistan, is expected to receive the heads of delegation this morning, before the summit of CIS Prime Ministers.
