Kazakhstan considers $100 million aid to Kyrgyzstan

ASTANA, 21December - Kazakhstan will possibly provide $100 million financial assistance to Kyrgyzstan. It was discussed Wednesday, December 20, in Astana at a meeting between Danial Akhmetov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan's acting First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Ussenov.

However, as Mr. Akhmetov noted at the meeting, the sides have to work out the conditions conforming to international requirements.

Kazakhstan ranks the first in terms of investments in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Kazakh government said that Kazakhstan invested in the Kyrgyz economy 56.2 million dollars in January through September, 2006, compared with 63.1 million dollars of investments from all CIS states during the same period.
